About the area

East Compton is a small hamlet on in beautiful countryside between Wells, Glastonbury, Shepton Mallet and Castle Cary. From Pilton go eastwards on the A361. Leave the village and after passing through fields pass a farm on the right hand side. Continue until there is a bungalow on the left and turn left into a long drive next to the bungalow's drive. Continue along this drive which is shared by several properties and it leads to Laurel Barn. (The drive is 0.3 miles eastwards from the sat.nav. point.)
