East Horrington is just out of Wells on a quiet country road and is just a few minutes drive from Wells. Tamarisk is situated at the approach into the village and the cottage stands quietly within a courtyard behind a stone wall and timber fence.


The extensive improvements have created a charming home which has good space and great comfort. The quality is evident on viewing with details including tiled floors in certain rooms, oak flooring, doors and skirting boards and well appointed bathrooms and kitchen. About the area

The small village of East Horrington lies in the lee of the beautiful Mendip Hills, 1½ miles east of the Cathedral City of Wells and about 18 miles and 21 miles south from Bath and Bristol respectively. Glastonbury and Street are even closer being about 8 and 10 miles south. There is easy access from East Horrington to good communications with the A37 nearby, a fast speed train services from Castle Cary to London Paddington 12 miles to the south and Bristol Airport is about 18 miles away.


Wells is the smallest city in England with a population about 11,000 and with many medieval buildings including its beautiful Cathedral and moated Bishops Palace. The city has local markets twice a week, a busy local shopping centre and a broad and vibrant range of societies and activities. The area also has a good number of excellent State & Private schools including Wells Blue School, Wells Cathedral School, Downside, All Hallows and Millfield.


From our office continue along Priory Road and at the junction turn right. Continue to the traffic lights, straight through, continue (pass petrol station) to a mini roundabout, turn left, continue past Waitrose, turn right at the lights. Continue to next lights, turn right, at the mini roundabout turn left into The Liberty. Turn left by the Fountain Inn, continue along St Thomas Street, pass the church and continue through to the end of Bath Road and there is a right turn signposted Wells Golf Club. Take this right turn and continue up the hill. Tamarisk is on the left a few hundred yards before the crossroads in East Horrington.
