About the area

Littleton lies just south of the village of Compton Dundon in one of the most picturesque parts of Somerset. Situated on the B3151 between Somerton and Street, Compton Dundon and Littleton share a range of community facilities including the church, school, cricket pitch and pub. The nearby town of Somerton is a thriving Market Town in the heart of Somerset yet with easy road access via the A303 road a few miles south and the main line rail station at Castle Cary. Somerton provides a wide range of local services including a small Supermarket, Doctors Surgery, Library, Butchers, Newsagent, Chemist and Post Office. Also within the town are a superb range of pubs and restaurants, notably the recently opened 28 Market Place renowned for it’s locally sourced menu, bakery and adjoining wine shop.
