Description
Hillside Cottage has the character and charm one expects with a period building dating back to 1826 and also benefits from oil fired central heating and double glazing installed only two years ago. Whilst there’s a front door on the north side of the cottage the most used access is from the courtyard, through the garden door and to the garden room. This is a large, delightful living area running the full length of the cottage and giving a wonderful outlook over the garden and hills beyond. The room has features including stonework and pine floorboards and is used as a dining and living room. At the far end is the doorway into the kitchen. This has a tiled floor, fitted (reclaimed pine) units, stone and brickwork, sink unit, tiled splashbacks and an old original bread oven.

Approached by double doors from the garden room is a comfortable sitting room with beams and an inglenook with a wood burning stove. The middle sitting room is a quiet area with the formal front door and the staircase. A door opens from this area into a snug which is equally suited as a study or indeed as a 4th bedroom if required.
First floor
There’s a long landing with an airing cupboard and which serves 3 bedrooms and a bathroom. The main bedroom is a good size with a high vaulted ceiling with exposed beams, floorboards and a fireplace. The second bedroom has a fitted wardrobe and the middle bedroom has Velux roof lights. The bathroom has reclaimed pine panelling, a hand basin, wc, shower cubicle and a bath.

To the side of the property is a gravelled parking area for several cars with an attractive decorative lamp post at the entrance. There is also a useful small stone outbuilding and shed.
