Upper Weare is a very popular small village within a short drive of Wedmore and with an active and friendly community. Continue up the drive for 50 yards or so and turn left into Woodlands.
About the area
Weare is a small village between Wedmore and Axbridge and also in easy reach of Wells, Cheddar, Glastonbury and of course Bristol (with the airport and stations within easy reach). All these centres provide a wide range of amenities to suit practically all needs. There are excellent state and independent schools. In the state sector there is a small village school with about 150 pupils ranging in age from 4 to 9 continuing their education at Hugh Sexey Middle School, in Blackford, leaving there aged 13 to attend Kings of Wessex Upper School in Cheddar. (Transport picks up in the village for both these schools). In the private sector Sidcot, Wells Cathedral and Millfield are all within easy reach.
The Saxon village of Wedmore is a delightful and extremely active centre and in many ways is an archetype of an English village.
