Upper Weare is a very popular small village within a short drive of Wedmore and with an active and friendly community. Woodlands has a peaceful, quiet setting well back from the small road that meanders through the village. It's approached off a drive (owned by Woodlands) opening into a large parking area with space for half a dozen cars.


The Bungalow stands in mature gardens with high, neat clipped conifer and laurel hedges which give great privacy. Approaching from Notting Hill Way and the school. Continue along Sparrow Hill Way towards the church. Pass Pinewood Close on your left. Continue on Sparrow Hill Way and 100 yards or so further on with a cream painted farmhouse (Manor Farm) on your right take the immediate right drive alongside it. Continue up the drive for 50 yards or so and turn left into Woodlands.

About the area

Weare is a small village between Wedmore and Axbridge and also in easy reach of Wells, Cheddar, Glastonbury and of course Bristol (with the airport and stations within easy reach). All these centres provide a wide range of amenities to suit practically all needs. There are excellent state and independent schools. In the state sector there is a small village school with about 150 pupils ranging in age from 4 to 9 continuing their education at Hugh Sexey Middle School, in Blackford, leaving there aged 13 to attend Kings of Wessex Upper School in Cheddar. (Transport picks up in the village for both these schools). In the private sector Sidcot, Wells Cathedral and Millfield are all within easy reach.
