The Old Rectory was built in the mid-1890s and has since been extended and improved over the years to form the substantial and handsome home we see today. The current owners have sympathetically renovated the house to exceptionally high standards and added a beautiful oak framed extension to the rear along with a further addition including the boot room, new primary entrance hall and utility.
The new kitchen is of an exceptional quality with beautiful worktops, high standard appliances and black limestone floors. In an open plan style the kitchen leads into the oak framed dining room which makes the most of the pretty garden outlook. Adjoining the kitchen are several useful rooms including the utility, cloakroom, boot-room and airing cupboard.
In the original part of the house there are three substantial reception rooms, all with lovely views and good proportions. There is also a study, rear entrance and ground floor shower room.
On the first floor there are four large double bedrooms and a well appointed family bathroom. The guest suite on the first floor also has an en-suite bathroom and dressing room.
The second floor is occupied by the master bedroom suite which has a stunning bathroom with free standing bath, walk in shower, heated towel rails and wash hand basin.
The gardens and grounds surround the house entirely and are mainly laid to lawn with several well tended flower beds and a magnificent copper beech tree in front of the house. In addition to the gardens there’s an adjoining paddock enclosed by post and rail fencing accessed by a wooden five bar gate.
A gated and paved driveway leads to a generous parking area where there is a car port, garage and gym block. The gym could equally be used as a home office if desired.
