About the area
Cranmore is a small village east of Shepton Mallet in beautiful countryside between the centres of Wells and Frome. Glastonbury, Yeovil, Castle Cary (mainline station to London), Bath and Bristol are all within easy travelling distance. These centres provide a wide scope of amenities and facilities to suit most needs and there is the added benefit of Babington House being within 7 miles. Bristol airport is also very accessible being about half an hour away.
There are good state and independent schools in the area including All Hallows, Downside, Millfield, Wells Cathedral and  the Bruton and Sherborne schools. The village is south and away from the main A361 road  and is well known for its excellent pub and restaurant which overlooks the village pond.  A quiet lane runs from the village to All Hallows School which is less than a mile away.
